Interim Government’s Chief Adviser, Dr. Prof. Mohammad Yunus, expressed his deep connection to Rangpur, addressing himself a “son and adviser” of the region.
His sentiments stem from admiration for the courage and sacrifice of July uprising martyr Abu Sayed.
While meeting Abu Sayed’s family members at his office in Tejgaon, Dhaka, on Thursday (November 28), Prof Yunus said, “Consider me an adviser from Rangpur.”
During the ceremony, he handed over a certificate establishing the Shaheed Abu Sayed Foundation to Makbul Hossain, Abu Sayed’s father. The martyr’s nephew, Md Liton Mia, was also in attendance.
Dr. Yunus inquired about the well-being of Abu Sayed’s parents and assured the family of the government’s continued support.
